National day of local protests – Sat 30 October

Action for Fire Safety Justice are coordinating another day of local protests around the country. Anyone affected by the building safety crisis is encouraged to organise or attend a protest at a local development site/sales office or town centre to raise awareness and disrupt potential sales by engaging with prospective customers.

As long as developers are not taking their responsibilities in this crisis, it is important for us to make sure that we keep the pressure on them. Without trust in the industry the new build market will and should come to a standstill, until the developers accept responsibility for all the buildings out there that breached building regulations at the time of construction.

You can find all the currently confirmed protests here: https://buildingsafetycrisis.org/protests

There is only one solution for them which is to publicly back the Polluter Pays Bill.

If you want to organise your own local protest or attend one, please contact Chloe or Joanna to coordinate so it can be advertised and get as many people out to support these protests. They have created an online form which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1R6fExaUMgRJEGtKzWvPEZ–upGt8gojxJ26_JIrv298/viewform?edit_requested=true#responses
